Of steps

22nd April 2018

Not been firing on all cylinders this week. Steph went to see the Doctor, got the usual 'take paracetamol and plenty of fluids' which didn't encourage me to seek the same advice.

Well, it's going to be a packed programme tonight. So let's get on with it.

Of dust and panel

2nd July 2017

We are now into the second half of the year, the nights have started to draw in, tennis is about to monopolise our screens (boo!, unless you're into Andy Murray et al, in which case Hooray) and this blog is nearing its seventh anniversary.

Of meeting an important person

11th December 2016

Are you feeling all Christmassy yet? Can't say I am: just been trying to work out what effect it will have on cash flow for those customers whose bills are due on or about the 31st December. Or will they get boozed up at the office party, fall asleep and wake up in time to go home early and s*d paying anybody until well into 2017? Yeah, that's my guess too.

Of the return of an old friend

19th May 2013

We have been in regular touch with the firm in Sheffield who are custodians of the 3 fan motors this week. With all due irony, the motor from D9500 is undoubtedly the best of the 3, and other than adding a "Speedisleeve" and replacing various seals and rings, having drilled out the corroded fixing bolts, the motor was in comparatively good order. But it has not been completed this week and so no progress can be reported on '901, more's the pity.
