Of weather and cleaner.

25th February 2018

I should have known better than to declare that a start was at last made on the Wickham, for despite Jagger's best intentions, family matters took precedence and he has been unable to get back to Darley Dale to capitalise on the start he made.

OK, first off, those of you who are looking for lots of pickies this week are going to be disappointed – for whatever reason the camera has had a quiet week.

Of Sentinel, Lister and York Metro

Oh dear, starting this a bit late tonight – been watching part 1 of that Strawbridge character trying to build a model railway all across Scotland.

Of floors and walls

3rd July 2016

So here we are going into the second half of the year. After the drama of the last few weeks this edition should be rather quiet by comparison. On the good news side, the transfer of Andrew's site from one server to another was completed with only a few minor snags, and the site was back up on line before the weekend.  It is this site's turn this week, so it will disappear temporarily on Tuesday and reappear around Friday. If you are one of my regular mid week readers, you either have remembered my warning last week, or this was why you couldn't find it!

Of Cheedale and conflagration

10th April 2016

Some weeks ago Andrew was approached by a well-known Wickhamophile regarding collecting and providing a temporary home to a Wickham-ish trolley that was otherwise going for scrap as contractors cleared the former MPD at Buxton. As the prospective owner hadn't the time to organise collection and there was a deadline, Andrew popped across and determined that if it could be wheeled down the track, there was an easy location for it to be HIAB'd on to a lorry and brought down to Darley Dale.
